The NRS Pilot Knife has been further developed for even greater ease of use for both professional and recreational paddlers. Rely on the Pilot when the situation calls for quick thinking and even quicker reactions, even while wearing gloves and in challenging conditions. The low-profile, quick-release Thumbs Up Sheath™ secures the knife in the sheath and can be released with a flick of the thumb. The sheath easily attaches to the vest's knife bracket. The partially serrated edge covers all your cutting needs. The 'reverse scallop' serration makes it easier to cut tough fibers. The knife features a valve wrench for oxygen tanks in the center of the handle. A lanyard attachment point at the end of the handle provides an additional way to prevent losing the knife in rough water. An asymmetrical handle and blade, along with the blunt tip, ensures correct blade orientation and helps prevent injury in a hectic rescue situation. "Jimping" along the top of the blade edge ensures thumb placement and prevents slipping. The fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene handle with a rubberized surface ensures a comfortable grip and maximum blade control in wet environments.
