New model feels more like a boot, previous model felt more like a shoe.
A lot easier to insert foot with drysuit socks. For raft guiding in the spring I can now wear a thick wooly sock, by removing the sole liner of the boot. Fits no problem into creek boat.
Seems like beefier and more rugged outer sole, than previous model.
Lacing is back to tying your own granny knot. No more plastic synch, which is better i think.
The claim of ankle support is sketchy as it is only neoprene in this area.
Verdict : Looks and feels like improvement on last model. So far so good, time will tell.
